(BETTY AND A FRIEND,BETTY IS ON THE LEFT)A beautiful woman inside and out.always told it how it was,always there for us all even when we were wrong she,d back us 100 per cent.Betty had 2 children sylvia and douglas(went on to have 4 more see below)I miss her everyday of my life,i live in her house and i sense her sometimes.when we was kids she used to put us all in her bed when we stayed with her, there would be 4 of us at a time all snuggled up.I sleep in that same room now and sometimes last thing at night i go back to being that little girl and can smell that "love of nana smell".My nana died in the living room surrounded by at least 30 of us,cancer took her away.we played lili marlane to her,spoke of times gone by,my uncle put pernod to her lips and she smiled that beautiful smile one last time.You were everything a woman should be,i will always love you nana betty.My grandad was lithuanian,he came to england from germany when he was 24,he was deported here by a working camp for prisoners of war.he married my nana and they had a happy life together and had 4 children,valreena,john(jonas),marita and antony(antanas).In 1972 he passed away of a heart attack aged only 50,they never had the chance to grow old together.we have never found any relatives pls email me if you know a petruzis.god bless you both.xxx

I stood by your bed last night;
I came to have a peep.
I could see that you were crying you found it hard to sleep.
I spoke to you softly as you brushed away a tear,
'It's me, I haven't left you, I'm well, I'm fine, I'm here.'
I was close to you at breakfast,
I watched you pour the tea,
You were thinking of the many times, your hands reached to me.
I was with you at the shops today; your arms were getting sore.
I longed to take your parcels, I wish I could do more.
I was with you at my grave today; you tend it with such care.
I want to re-assure you, that I'm not lying there.
I flew with you towards the house, as you fumbled for your key.
I gently landed on you; I smiled and said, 'it's me.'
You looked so very tired, and sank into a chair. I tried so hard to let you know, that I was there.
It's possible for me, to be so near you everyday.
To say to you with certainty, 'I never went away.'
You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew...
in the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you.
The day is over... I smile and watch you yawning and say 'good-night, God bless, I'll see you in the morning.'
And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide,
I'll fly across to greet you and we'll stand, side by side.
I have so many things to show you,
there is so much for you to see.
Be patient, live your journey out...
then come home to be with me.
